clinical supervision

Good supervision does more than check a box on the way to licensure. It's where you build real clinical confidence and start shaping yourself as the therapist with the practice you want to have. That's what I aim for in our work together.

who I work with

I provide individual and group supervision for associate-level clinicians working toward full licensure in Washington: counselors, marriage and family therapists, and social workers (LMHCA, LMFTA, LSWAIC). Whether you're fresh out of graduate school and still finding your footing, or further along and starting to think about the kind of practice you want to build, I'll meet you where you are.

what supervision with me looks like

I supervise the way I practice: person-centered, honest, and unhurried. We'll do the necessary work of case consultation and skill-building, and we'll track your progress toward licensure. But I see my role as less teacher, more guide. You are not an empty vessel waiting to be filled with my way of doing things. You're a developing clinician with your own instincts, and my job is to help you trust and sharpen them.

The hours that tend to matter most are the ones that don't fit neatly on a form. The client who stays with you after the session ends. The moment you felt something in the room and weren't sure what to do with it. The creeping sense that everyone else knows what they're doing and you're improvising. The particular loneliness of sitting with people's pain all day and then closing your laptop in an empty room. Countertransference, doubt, burnout before it becomes the whole story, and the slow, real work of developing clinical instincts that are actually yours.

building something of your own

Many associates are so focused on getting through their hours that no one ever talks to them about what comes next. I want to. If part of your goal is building your own practice someday, I bring real experience with the business side: getting credentialed, thinking through insurance versus private pay, finding your niche, and creating something sustainable that won't burn you out. Supervision with me is as much about empowering you to build the career you want as it is about meeting a licensure requirement.

My goal is for you to leave supervision more confident and more yourself, not a smaller copy of me.

logistics

Supervision is offered via telehealth. Reach out for pricing and to talk about your setting, your caseload, your licensure timeline, and whether we're a good fit for each other. Finding the right supervisor matters, and a first conversation costs you nothing.
